INDONESIA - GOOD FRIDAY

Indonesia is located in Southeastern Asia. There they speak Bahasa Indonesia. The climate there is tropical, hot, and humid. A very nice place to visit is Java. Java is the most popular city in Indonesia. It has a variety of different people, religions and cultures. It is also filled with beauty like ancient empires and buildings, peaceful villages and smoking volcanoes. Indonesia is a country full of beautiful sights.

Good Friday is celebrated because of the arrest of Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was arrested because he said he was the son of God. At that time they would sentence you to death or let you go. The Roman emperor made that decision and used the crowd as witnesses. That night the Roman emperor’s wife had a dream of God speaking to her. He had said that she had to tell the emperor about her dream and explain to him why he couldn’t sentence Jesus to death. The emperor thought about it and asked Jesus some questions of which he answered nothing. Finally he asks Jesus if he is the son of God and Jesus answers yes. For that he is sentenced to death.
