MAY DAY ON BANGLADESH

Bangladesh is a very poor country but otherwise it has a lot of nice places to visit. One of them is Kuakata. It is located on the tip of the country. It is a very beautiful beach where you can see the sunrise and the sunset! It is a very wide beach and a perfect place to visit. Another place to visit is Maheskhali. It is an island of Bangladesh. It is located on the beach of Cox’s Basar. It‘s area is 268 square kilometer.
Bangladesh celebrates May Day on May first. May Day is a national holiday in Bangladesh. It was first celebrated in 1972. Another word more common for it is Labour Day. It is celebrated because Bangladesh observed in 118 years ago workers gave their lives in the United States in Chicago.
People were demanding for four hours less of work. This day is celebrated because now people work less hours a day than before.
